Admissions & selection procedure

  • To be admitted to SAE Institute, prospective students are required to meet certain criteria. The admission requirements include:
  • Entrance Exam: All applicants must successfully pass the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (Wonderlic SLE). The minimum score required is 14 for Diploma or Associate Degree Programs, and 18 for Bachelor Degree Programs.
  • Government-Issued Photo Identification: Applicants need to provide a valid government-issued photo identification. The admissions representative can guide you on the best way to provide this information.
  • Proof of Graduation: SAE Institute requires applicants to have a standard high school diploma, GED, or state equivalency exam. Documentation as Proof of Graduation (POG) must be provided prior to acceptance into a program.
  • Citizenship or Visa Status: Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or provide proof of an appropriate student visa. The admissions team can assist in determining the necessary documents for qualification.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: Prospective students must be at least 17 years old to meet the admission requirement

  • SAE DIVERSIFY: This scholarship is specifically designed for full-time students at SAE Auckland who identify as female, non-binary, or gender non-conforming. It offers two scholarships worth $3,000 each.
  • CREATIVE FIRST NATIONS SCHOLARSHIP: Domestic students applying for a Bachelor's Degree in February 2024 can apply for this full-tuition scholarship. It aims to support students from First Nations backgrounds in pursuing their creative aspirations.
  • SAE Institute International Student Scholarship: This scholarship is available for international students aged 17 years or older. It covers 10% of the program tuition, providing financial assistance to students from different countries pursuing their education at SAE Institute.
